The project
Buds and Spawn are Sheffield's music promoters that don't quite fit the mould: made for lovers of the weird and wonky, punky and proggy, choppy changey, twisty turny, off kilter, psychedelic, experimental...a series of semi-irregular nights of semi-irregular music in Sheffield, curated by independent promoter, Laura Holmes.
The brief
To support Buds & Spawn's unique work with a range of artists across the UK, we were asked to create virtual gigs featuring high quality recorded sets and live discussions/ Q&A built-in.
The solution
We produced online gigs with a focus on including all the elements of an in-person event that support artists to produce their best work. We hosted rehearsals with each gig group and provided live mixing of live and pre-recorded content. Additionally, increased production values of the event with lighting design provided for a recording day hosted at Theatre Deli.
