Off Road
The Project
Off Road rewrites narratives around perceived anti-social behaviour. Removing stigma around quad and bike culture, sharing the other side of the story about police encounters and Bradford postcode rivalry. Off Road is a protest, a rave, a bike show, performed out on the street and inside a community centre, telling real stories of growing up through live music, verbatim text and film footage shot with smartphones. Created in collaboration with Bradford Youth Service and co-created by young people and rap artists from Windhill, Wrose & across Bradford.
The Brief
Working with the Common Wealth team, we worked with local community partners to ensure smooth delivery of the performance in a local community centre - creating plans and schedules to allow time for the show to develop on site as well as in the rehearsal room.
