SICK! Festival 2022
SICK! Festival returns for another year, this time focussing work in Moston, Harpurphey and Charlestown in North Manchester
The project
SICK! Festival faces up to the complexities of mental and physical health. Themes are explored through many art forms – dance, theatre, film, spoken word – and through discussion and debate, weaving in perspectives from researchers, clinical practitioners, public health professionals, charities and those with lived experience of the issues addressed.
The brief
SICK! Festival sought to deliver a range of work across Manchester - ranging from an outdoor photography exhibition to an arcade housed in shipping containers and from a family activity day to a community comedy night.
The solution
Working with the festival team, venues and artists, we coordinated all production and technical aspects of the festival, ensuring that all activity happened on time, on budget and safely. Working in a range of outdoor spaces, in addition to more conventional venues, added an extra challenge to ensure that all sites were built, maintained and de-rigged to a high standard, and that all stakeholders were kept informed.
